Since 1993 the researchgroup 'groundwater recharge' of the postgraduate research program 'Geoscience Research in Africa' worked on four projects for regionalizing the groundwater recharge in central and northeastern in Namibia. On the research results of these projects this project is developed.
The research area is situated in the Kalahari of Botswana. Under use of climate data, soil proberties and soil physics there will be developed a groundwater flow model. This model will provide useful information for the development of the groundwater resources for human and animal use.
