The study addresses the gradual changes of recharge mechanisms and recharge rates along a hydro-climatic gradient through the Eastern Mediterranean. This profile represents a gradient of increasingly dry Mediterranean climates with winter rain. The work is carried out in selected study areas in Greece, Cyprus, Israel and Jordan. The project yielded groundwater recharge rates for selected regions of these countries based on several estimation methods.
